We were contacted today by Jose Morales of Panama who filled us in on his team’s recent results in the Ocean to Ocean cayuco race. Here’s what he had to tell us:
My crew wants to share a testimonial your company might find interesting as we used your outrigger paddle adapter to train to race a type of boat called cayuco (see picture attached). These boats are distinctive to Panama, Central America. We race every year from the Atlantic to the Pacific through the Panama Canal. It is a grueling 50 mile race in which this year utilizing your equipment, we placed 3rd in the open coed category over 30 qualified coed boats, and in the top 10 out of more than 90 boats. This is a race that has a 60 year old tradition which is definitely getting international spotlight as there were even members of the US olympic team who came down to paddle the race.
