Marcus explains: It was held on a 5km course which we did 5 laps. I started out drafting with a group taking turns of the lead. I took my turn in the lead and then made a break after about 4kms. I kept stretching the lead till the finish. I trained pretty hard for this event on the “supmill” (that’s what I’ve named the my paddle adapter). I was on it probably 4 days a week as well as on water training. I felt really well conditioned for the race and still felt pretty good as I crossed the finish line.
